About The Position

Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking a General Superintendent to lead field operations for electrical and I&C construction projects. This role is responsible for the overall management of on-site construction, including multiple crews and scopes, and requires a blend of hands-on field authority with planning, budgeting, and client-facing skills. The General Superintendent will report to the Construction Manager and is considered a key leadership position within the company.

Requirements

10+ years of electrical or instrumentation & controls construction experience.
5+ years in field supervision.
Experience directing multiple crews or multiple Superintendents on industrial projects (water/wastewater, manufacturing, energy, or similar).
Strong command of scheduling, production tracking, and field budgeting.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain).
Willingness to be on-site full time.

NCCER, journeyman, or master electrician credentials.

Responsibilities

Direct all on-site construction operations, including subordinate Superintendents, Foremen, and craft crews across electrical and I&C scopes.
Build and drive 3-week and 90-day look-ahead schedules, coordinate manpower loading, and sequence work across trades.
Monitor labor hours, productivity, and cost-to-complete alongside project management, and flag risks before they become overruns.
Set the tone for a zero-incident safety culture and ensure compliance across every crew on site.
Represent Prime Controls in owner meetings, coordination meetings, and day-to-day site interactions.
Drive installations to specification and lead a clean, documented handoff to commissioning.
