About The Position

As a General Services Staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, productive, and efficient work environment within our facility. This involves managing service contractors, communicating facility-related information to employees, and upholding health, safety, and environmental standards. You will be involved in the deployment and implementation of advanced standards, processes, and tools within our facility.

Requirements

• Participate in all safety-related activities to ensure a safe work environment.
• Ensure a productive and efficient work environment inside our facility for all.
• Help manage service contractors of all types working on our site.
• Ensure good communication on facility-related topics to all employees.
• Follow and enforce all health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Be involved with the deployment and implementation of the “state of the art” standards, processes, methods and tools in our facility.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 45001 (OHSAS 18001) management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service facility electrical and mechanical systems.
• Prepare and maintain workstations for all employees.
• Complete facility preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Provide logistics support and guidance in the shipping area.
• Provide oversight to our contract security team.
• Provide guidance to contract cleaning staff to ensure a clean work environment.
• Organize and maintain facility recycling activities.
• Monitor contract seasonal yard and parking lot services.
• Participate in facility safety-related certifications.
• Perform facility safety inspections.
• Participate in facility group communication reviews.
• Suggest facility process improvements.
• Provide back-up support for other facility team members.
• Report the progress of tasks to meet personal and team goals.
• Escalate risks and participate in QRQC, QRAP.
• Apply and enforce Health, Safety, Environment, and Energy requirements and commitments relating to ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 45001 (OHSAS 18001).
• Participate in HSE performance of its activity and applicable regulations.
• Respect and apply safety rules defined on the site within the facility and department.
