Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a General Service Technician to join their team. Requirements
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work Saturdays (with Sundays off)
- Ability to stand up to eight hours per day and walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
- Sufficient vision to detect color, depth, and re-focus
- Ability to communicate with customers and shop personnel
Nice To Haves
- Some knowledge of basic automotive systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State Inspector License (certified or working toward it)
- Previous automotive experience
- Energetic and hard-working individuals with a passion for cars
- High level of motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Perform tire mounting, dismounting, balancing & rotation
- Conduct oil changes and other light vehicle maintenance
- Perform multi-point inspections & document vehicle conditions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Drive vehicles safely and courteously, obeying all traffic laws
- Pick up parts and supplies
- Transport customers as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to direct supervisor
- Support team members with other assigned tasks
- Adhere to Sun Auto’s core values, and all company policies and procedures
