General Service Technician | Up to $20/HR & Weekends Off | Inver Grove Heights
About The Position

We are looking for a General Service Technician / Mechanic who brings a positive attitude and a solution-oriented mindset to our team. If you love solving tough automotive problems and have a strong commitment to doing what’s right for our guests, we want to hear from you! As a General Service Technician, you will be the backbone of our shop's daily operations. Your primary duties will include performing routine maintenance, diagnostics & inspection, team collaboration, regulatory compliance, and maintaining shop excellence.
Requirements
- A positive, energetic attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Basic automotive mechanical knowledge and a desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to effectively communicate mechanical issues to the service team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- Current driver’s licenses
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand-tools
- Walk/stand for the majority of the workday
- Drive manual transmission vehicles
- Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
- Efficiently navigate a computer
Nice To Haves
- Valid driver's license (preferred).
- We would prefer a high school or equivalent diploma, but this is not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform all general maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Work closely with the service department to communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions.
- Work alongside a team of skilled technicians to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
- Perform state-mandated vehicle emission and safety inspections.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations (including OSHA right-to-know and hazardous waste disposal).
- Maintain our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization, including housekeeping functions as directed by management.
