Automotive General Service Technician
About The Position

At Honest1 Auto Care® Eagan East, we're looking for a motivated General Service Technician to join our award-winning team. We'll start you off right. Earn up to $28/hour, plus a Starter Tool Set valued at over $1,500 as a sign-on bonus. That's real support from day one. As a General Service Technician at our Eagan East location, you'll perform essential vehicle maintenance and light repair work while building the skills and experience to grow into a full Roadworthy Certified® Technician role. You'll work alongside experienced Teammates in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
Requirements
- Genuine interest in automotive service and a desire to grow in the trade
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Basic automotive knowledge (oil types, tire specs, fluid services)
- Valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 50+ lbs occasionally, and work at a brisk pace in a high-volume environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in an automotive shop, lube center, or dealership service department
- Entry-level ASE certifications (we'll pay for the next ones!)
- Familiarity with digital inspection tools or shop management software
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and other scheduled maintenance services
- Conduct digital vehicle inspections using our Roadworthy Inspection® system and document findings accurately
- Assist senior technicians with repairs and diagnostics as directed
- Maintain a clean, organized bay and follow all shop safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with service advisors on job status and findings
- Participate in ongoing training to build technical skills and pursue ASE certifications
