Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking a General Service Technician / Mechanic for their Concord, NC location. Requirements

Entry-level position
High school or equivalent diploma preferred, but not required
Ability to lift and/or move over 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
Ability to work in tight spaces
Dexterity to efficiently use hand-tools
Ability to walk/stand for the majority of the workday
Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
Ability to maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
Ability to efficiently navigate a computer

Responsibilities

Perform all maintenance work such as oil changes, tire rotations, and suspension alignments.
Follow all rules and regulations as spoken or written by management, including the employee handbook.
Maintain a good and positive attitude and uphold the team concept.
Act in a professional manner, projecting honesty, integrity, and respectfulness.
Adhere to all OSHA safety rules and regulations, as well as city, county, and state regulations regarding shop safety, fuel spill clean-up, or other hazardous materials.
Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by management.
Examine vehicles and discuss with the service writer/service manager the nature and extent of any damage or malfunction.
Provide recommendations for repair, including parts lists and estimated hours using industry standard labor guides.
Provide a list of all items needing attention, whether maintenance, safety, or other.
Perform a thorough Courtesy Inspection on all vehicles when approved by the customer.
Ensure all under-car, under-hood, and preventive maintenance inspections and reports are complete and accurate.
Raise vehicles with a hydraulic jack or lift to gain access to mechanical units, using proper equipment and safety procedures.
