About The Position
General Service Technician / Lube Technician - Dykstra's Auto. Dykstra's Auto is a GreatWater Garage Shop located at 7355 Clyde Park Ave. SW Byron Center, MI 49315. We are looking for a General Service Technician who takes pride in doing the basics right — from oil changes to vehicle inspections — and wants to grow their automotive career. Requirements
- Interest in building a career in automotive repair
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Ability to perform inspections and follow service procedures
- Willingness to learn digital vehicle inspections (DVI) and shop systems
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Previous professional automotive or mechanical experience is required
- Having a basic set of your own tools is required
Nice To Haves
- Training in flush services
- Training in steering and suspension inspections and repair
- Training in brakes and braking systems inspections and repair
- Training in basic electrical systems
- ASE Prep for A4 and A5
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and scheduled maintenance services
- Complete digital vehicle inspections (DVI) to identify vehicle needs
- Install and service wiper blades, bulbs, filters, and fluids
- Perform tire rotations, tire repairs, and basic tire service
- Assist with TPMS service and tire installations
- Support technicians with vehicle inspections and shop workflow
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
