About The Position

Austin's Automotive Specialists, a GreatWater Garage Shop, is seeking a General Service Technician / Lube Technician. This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay ($18–$22 per hour) along with training and advancement opportunities. The role focuses on performing essential vehicle maintenance services like oil changes and inspections, with a strong emphasis on learning and career growth within a supportive team environment. Requirements

• 6 months of relevant experience preferred in an automotive repair facility or equivalent knowledge from a trade school
• Interest in building a career in automotive repair
• Willingness to earn ASE certifications and work towards being a C Level Technician strongly preferred
• Must possess a valid US Drivers License, be insurable on Company insurance policy, and possess the ability to drive a vehicle with passengers and perform drivability assessments
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
• Ability to perform inspections and follow service procedures
• Willingness to learn digital vehicle inspections (DVI) and shop systems
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset
• Previous professional automotive or mechanical experience is required
• Having a basic set of your own tools is required

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and scheduled maintenance services
• Complete digital vehicle inspections (DVI) to identify vehicle needs
• Install and service wiper blades, bulbs, filters, and fluids
• Perform tire rotations, tire repairs, and basic tire service
• Assist with TPMS service and tire installations
• Support technicians with vehicle inspections and shop workflow
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
