About The Position

Blake Fulenwider Automotive is seeking an experienced General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead their Snyder dealership's sales operation and drive continued growth. This role is second-in-command, partnering with the General Manager to lead the sales organization, develop future leaders, build a winning culture, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about coaching people, maximizing performance, building strong teams, and achieving measurable results.

Requirements

  • Proven success as a General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or other automotive dealership leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team development experience.
  • Track record of achieving sales volume and profitability goals.
  • Experience managing both new and used vehicle operations.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, inventory management, and dealership sales processes.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze reports, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CDK, vAuto, DealerSocket, or similar dealership software.
  • Experience with manufacturer sales processes and certifications.
  • Knowledge of inventory acquisition and pricing strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans that achieve volume, gross profit, and market share goals.
  • Lead and coach the entire sales management team and sales staff.
  • Conduct daily sales meetings focused on accountability, opportunity, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive new and used vehicle sales while maximizing profitability.
  • Monitor inventory, pricing, aging, and market conditions to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Ensure every customer receives an outstanding buying experience.
  • Oversee Internet sales performance, lead management, and CRM utilization.
  • Work closely with Finance to maximize every deal while maintaining compliance.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and retain top sales talent.
  • Coach managers and sales consultants through one-on-one development and performance accountability.
  • Create a culture built on integrity, urgency, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Mentor future leaders and develop succession within the dealership.
  • Hold team members accountable to activity standards, customer satisfaction, and company processes.
  • Maintain manufacturer training and certification requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies and all regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee deal flow, documentation accuracy, inventory management, and sales reporting.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Service, Marketing, Parts, and Fixed Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Monitor dealership performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
