About The Position

The General Project Management, Lead Associate will be an integral contributor towards Peraton’s delivery of automation and communications capability across the FAA’s 17 Alaska Flight Service Stations (FSS). This initiative will modernize Alaska’s flight service infrastructure by replacing legacy systems with a modular suite of modern voice switching, call distribution, and advanced flight service automation and console technologies. The project emphasizes resilient telecommunications and the integration of legacy and VoIP radio systems to support Alaska’s unique and challenging operating environment. This position will support the local Alaska management team, the FAA client, and subcontractors and vendors assisting with the program delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 3 years with MS/MA, Minimum of 7 years with an AS; 9 years in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in logistics management or similar organization skills
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft and other general applications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting FAA programs or National Airspace System (NAS) infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and supports the daily operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversees Peraton office logistics, including facilities, equipment and other asset management requirements.
  • Facilitates meetings with multiple stakeholders, organizes travel arrangements and resulting expense reporting, and coordinates SharePoint sites for information sharing.
  • Manages environmental, leasing, permitting, and other necessary licensing or certifications, and ensures regular communications between subcontractors and client in this area.
  • Completes other office management duties as assigned.
