About The Position

EFP Ekhart is hiring for General Production roles on the 2nd shift, which runs from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday. These roles involve operating molding machines, packaging products, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a clean work environment. The positions require attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with a team. Specific roles include Press Operator, Packer, and Tender, each with distinct responsibilities related to machine operation, quality inspection, packaging, and material handling.

Responsibilities

Operate molding machines at a pace that meets supervisor-set cycle times.
Tend to machines that package product.
Remove finished packaged items from the machine and separate rejected items.
Regulate wrapping machine flow, speed, and/or temperature.
Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur and report them to a supervisor.
Secure finished packaged items by hand tying, sewing, gluing, stapling, or attaching a fastener.
Replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, labels, glue, etc.
Remove waste from the production areas to improve productivity.
Maintain and follow the operating procedures of machinery.
Inspect parts for quality, such as fill, fusion, post-expansion, etc.
Identify the proper packaging container and ensure the packaged container is properly labeled.
Maintain an accurate count per container.
Complete any required paperwork.
Participate in all required 5S/PPS activities as directed by the Team Leader.
Perform plant clean-up as required.
Stack products.
Provide press operator lines with needed supplies.
