About The Position

Team members must be available for scheduled hours, including potential mandatory overtime based on production needs.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Willing and able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Willing and able to perform a task requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms.
  • Willing and able to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift.
  • Willing and able to work around animal blood and/or carcass parts.
  • Willing and able to work with a knife (if trained).
  • Willing and able to work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees).
  • Willing and able to work in an environment that is wet and humid.
  • Willing and able to work while wearing a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.
  • Willing and able to work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Willing and able to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals.
  • Willing and able to work around strong smells/odors.
  • Willing and able to climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways and platforms.
  • Willing and able to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift.
  • Willing and able to walk long distances.
  • Willing and able to perform repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Willing and able to perform single lifting of heavy objects which can weigh up to 60 lbs.
  • Willing and able to lift objects using mechanical assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physically demanding work requiring good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, strength, and stamina.
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Perform tasks requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching, flexing, and extending arms.
  • Stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift.
  • Work around animal blood and/or carcass parts.
  • Work with a knife (if trained).
  • Work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees).
  • Work in a wet and humid environment.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.
  • Work in a noisy environment.
