About The Position

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. These positions could work in any department of the Material Handling facility. There is constant box handling throughout the entire area and must be willing to repeatedly push, pull, lift and carry up to 100 pounds or more if required. Must be willing to work in extreme cold or hot (33 degrees to 100 degrees), dry environments, willing to work above shoulder level and walking/standing 8-12 hours a day on concrete floors or grating. Must be willing to work in areas that are up 5 stories tall with open grade flooring where ground level will be visible. These positions also may involve the minimal use of hand-held scanners. Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180 days rehire waiting period and a 3 time limit. Days off vary. The Material Handling Department operates 24/7, including shifts on Sundays and some major holidays.
