GENERAL PRODUCTION - 2nd Shift
About The Position
JBS is hiring General Production Laborers at its Pipestone, Minnesota location. Openings are available on first and second shifts. The work takes place in a fast-paced production environment and may involve damp or cold conditions of 35–45 degrees, repetitive hand motions, and physically demanding tasks. Employees should expect a 5- to 6-week adjustment period to the working conditions. Shifts run Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed, and overtime may be necessary. Employees are expected to arrive on time, follow company policies and supervisors’ instructions, work cooperatively, and perform to the best of their abilities while being willing to learn and grow. Other duties may be assigned by a lead, supervisor, superintendent, or other superior.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Willing and capable of working in damp or cold conditions (35–45 degrees).
- Willing and capable of lifting, pulling, or pushing 10–50 pounds.
- Willing and capable of working overtime when necessary and on Saturdays.
- Willing and capable of working in a fast-paced environment and performing repetitive hand motions and body movements.
- Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours per day, up to 6 days a week.
- Ability to work with others and follow company policies, procedures, and supervisors’ instructions.
Nice To Haves
- At least 4 months of previous work in the meat industry, a similar work environment, or similar labor is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform production work in a fast-paced environment, including repetitive hand motions and body movements.
- Reach for product on conveyor belts with hooks and reach for boxes or bags.
- Perform tasks involving lifting, pulling, or pushing 10–50 pounds.
- Maintain neutral wrist positioning while performing repetitive hand motions and grasping.
- Stand for 8 to 10 hours per day, up to 6 days a week.
- Report to work at the scheduled start time and follow company policies, procedures, and supervisors’ instructions.
- Work cooperatively with others and carry out other duties as assigned by a lead, supervisor, superintendent, or superior.
