About The Position
This position is responsible for entry level, non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Applicants will be considered for any general labor type opening in any department that may include, but not limited to, stacker/supplier, food assembly, hand wrapper, and sanitation.
Requirements
- Prior experience is not required.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Prior Tyson Workers will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
Responsibilities
- Standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting and reaching.
- Lifting, pushing, and carrying in many areas on the production floor (weight depends on area ranging from 15 – 50 pounds).
- Working overtime and weekends as required to meet production deadlines.
- Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Being cross trained and moved to other areas as needed.
- Standing for 8 – 12 hours per day on hard floors in extreme hot or cold environments ranging from 50 to 120 degrees.
- Performing the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
