About The Position

The General Production Labor position provides hands-on support to production operations by performing a variety of manual and production-related tasks as assigned. This role supports product flow, quality, and efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies, food safety standards, and procedures in a fresh food manufacturing environment. The work environment includes direct interaction with raw, in-process, or packaged fresh product, adherence to strict food safety, sanitation, and contamination prevention standards, wearing required PPE, and working in temperature-controlled environments, including cold, wet, or humid conditions. This role is essential to supporting daily production operations and maintaining efficient, safe, and compliant operations at the Plant.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior manufacturing, production, or general labor experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to safety, food safety, and quality
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned production tasks to support processing, packaging, and material handling operations
• Assist with product handling, sorting, stacking, and staging as required
• Maintain continuous product flow to prevent downtime or congestion
• Monitor product for quality defects and report concerns promptly
• Assist line operators with setup, changeovers, and general line support
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment
• Remove waste, scrap, and recyclable materials according to plant procedures
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supervisor instructions
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and allergen control requirements
• Comply with OSHA regulations and Tyson safety policies
• Use required PPE and follow safe work practices
• Perform other duties as assigned
