About The Position

This role involves performing all work duties safely and maintaining the Tyson safety culture. Team members will receive training as required and may perform other duties or positions as assigned. Specific tasks include inspecting packages for defects, placing correct packages into cases, and sealing cases. Team members will also be responsible for controlling manual palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack finished products, ensuring stacks are properly prepared and product is graded according to customer and Tyson quality specifications. Knowledge of approximate product weights for orders is also required. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Willing and able to frequently lift and/or move up to 61 pounds.
Use both hands equally.
Regularly required to stand, use hands/fingers to handle, or feel.
Frequently required to walk.
Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work in wet and/or humid conditions.
Work in extreme cold.
Work in an environment where the noise level is usually loud.

Responsibilities

Receive training as required.
Perform other duties/positions as required/assigned.
Inspect packages for packaging defects based on job ticket information.
Place correct packages into cases and seal the cases as required.
Control manual palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack on pallet containers of finished products.
Ensure product stacks are properly prepared and product is properly graded.
Prepare product stacks according to customer and Tyson quality specifications.
Know approximate weights of product for orders.
