About The Position

This role is responsible for managing the material flow on an assigned door assembly line. Key duties include independently pulling all Bill of Materials (BOMs) for the current and following shifts, ensuring accurate scanning of materials, and completing necessary documentation like material exception forms. The position also involves managing excess materials by returning unused items to stock and disposing of scrap, maintaining cleanliness of racks, and ensuring inventory levels are consistently restocked. Communication with production teams via walkie-talkie to prevent stock-outs is essential. Additionally, the role assists with cycle counts, warehouse organization, and requires the ability to operate forklifts.

Responsibilities

Pull all BOMs for assigned line and prepare for the following shift independently
Ensure BOMs are pulled by the piece
Attach Job numbers to vinyl racks by magnetic holders
Label and stage hardware carts in designated location
Pull all assigned BOMs in full prior to end of shift
Understand and learn how to operate warehouse scanners
Scan all BOM items successfully between stocks
Complete and transact material exception forms before end of shift
Sign BOM board when material has been accurately pulled and staged
Provide a signed report with all BOM items pulled and located in the designated area for each line to Warehouse lead
Remove all excess materials from the line and return to their stock locations after jobs are complete
Manage completed jobs and return all unused materials to the warehouse stock locations
Dispose of scrap carts in the scrap cutting designated area
Successfully transact all materials extracted from production back into the designated stock
Maintain all racks clean from trash, shipping materials and packaging
Collect and throw away all shipping products when cleaning off racks
Hand in a daily Material Exception Form sheet with ALL fields filled in
Record all keep fill items in the material exception form sheet
Record additional BOM items provided to the line
Walk the line twice a day and ensure all keep fill levels are restocked
Maintain a form of communication with production via walkie talkie
Communicate any risk of stock out or low levels of inventory
Assist in restocking of material into stock locations
Assist in cycle count duties and in warehouse organization (gaylord, scrap, empty skids, organization, restocking)
Perform any other tasks assigned by Manager
