General Practice Veterinarian
About The Position
We're hiring a general practice Veterinarian to join our large team at West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center, our full-service small animal practice with 24-hour emergency services. This is a great opportunity to collaborate in a hybrid GP-ER facility with a regular, daytime shift schedule and no on-call hours! We offer a high standard of medicine, seeing routine wellness and preventative care, supporting hospitalized patients, performing routine and major soft tissue surgeries, providing complete dental care, laser therapy, thermal imaging, and advanced diagnostics. Our satellite, on-campus location offering specialty care for your referral cases at Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care provides access to specialists in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Oncology, Rehabilitation, Surgery, and Theriogenology. Our facilities include in-house lab, blood machines, digital radiology, dental radiology, high definition CT, endoscopy, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an AVMA accredited university, or equivalent
- Active veterinarian license or license-eligible to practice in the state of New York
- Experienced in companion animal wellness and preventive care medicine
- A commitment to the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
- Passion for collaborating with other doctors, staff and leadership to improve patient outcomes to drive clinic success
Nice To Haves
- Internship training a plus
- Skills in general surgery and/or general dentistry
- Willing to take new graduates looking for a strong mentorship program
Responsibilities
