About The Position

The Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota and UMPhysicians is recruiting a full-time general neurologist for M Health Fairview – Woodbury Neurology clinic. Highly qualified candidates who are committed to excellence in patient care, possess strong clinical skills and have an interest in clinical investigation and education are encouraged to apply. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, this position will provide outpatient general neurology services in the community clinics with some optional time on the University campus if desired. Minimal inpatient coverage expected as the health system invests in growing a neurohospitalist pool. No acute stroke call. Opportunities to perform EMG, read EEG, inject botulinum toxins if candidate meets training criteria. Opportunities to supervise and train medical students and residents if desired. Opportunity to promote through a clinical pathway in academic setting (no publication or research funding requirements). Salaried position with ability to earn bonus stipend. This position is not eligible for a J1 waiver.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Neurology residency training program.
  • Board Certified or Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
  • Ability to obtain and / or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
  • Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills.
