About The Position

This entry-level team member position is responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. The role involves a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, and merchandising, specifically within the General Merchandise (GM) side of the store. The position requires availability for 2nd shift, weekends, and holidays. The General Merchandise Clerk will collaborate with other team members and managers on additional tasks as needed. This position is applicable to departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral.

Requirements

Detail-oriented and organized.
Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.
Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.

Responsibilities

Deliver remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude.
Build rapport with customers.
Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
Help customers with any questions they may have and direct them to another team member if unable to answer.
Stock product and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks.
Collaborate with other team members and managers on additional tasks as needed.
