About The Position
The General Mechanic completes assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs. This role is a good fit for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Requirements
- Proficient in Basic General Maintenance Duties
- Solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
- Complete assigned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs.
- Use the CMMS program in support of work performance.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with our clients, engineering leadership, and vendors to keep the building operational.
- Perform ongoing facility maintenance and complete repairs on various equipment.
- Perform minor repairs to Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP’s) equipment.
- Ensure client satisfaction.
- Foster a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions.
- Perform basic routine MEP repairs.
- Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall, and wood trim repair.
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Assists in emergencies as needed.
- Returns all work areas to a clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition.
