About The Position

The General Manufacturing Associate 1 is an entry-level production role that introduces team members to manufacturing at Fisher Barton. Associates learn skills in one or more production areas, which may include packaging, warehouse, straightening, broaching, facilities, and grit blasting. The role involves working safely and efficiently as part of a team and supporting Fisher Barton’s 3C’s Culture: Customer Excellence, A Culture of Fairness, and Community Involvement. The position is located at 210 Business Park Dr., Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. The listed shift option is a second-shift weekend schedule, 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday through Sunday. The work takes place in a loud manufacturing environment, with occasional exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. Requirements

Basic math skills.
Ability to stand for 8–12 hours per day.
Ability to sit, stand, squat, and bend.
Ability to reach overhead with one or both arms.
Ability to repeatedly lift and place parts on machines, weighing up to 15 pounds.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to occasionally push or pull up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Produce, inspect, or package products according to work instructions.
Ensure materials are labeled and packaged properly.
Complete daily production and quality paperwork accurately.
Enter data into computer systems on time.
Perform general maintenance and housekeeping in work areas.
May operate a forklift and/or overhead crane to move materials safely.
