About The Position

The General Manager leads the hotel team and oversees daily operations at the Hyatt Place in Bloomington, Indiana. This role is responsible for operating an efficient and profitable hotel while delivering a superior guest experience. The General Manager motivates and mentors managers and employees, engages with guests, and works collaboratively with hotel departments and other ZMC Hotels General Managers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across the front office, housekeeping, breakfast, maintenance, night audit, guest satisfaction, and sales.
• Market the hotel’s products and services to exceed guest expectations.
• Provide sales leadership and implement plans to achieve profitability goals.
• Recruit, hire, train, and retain employees; supervise, mentor, and motivate the team.
• Respond to guests’ needs promptly and effectively.
• Work with departments to achieve budgets and build strong working relationships.
• Promote and ensure hotel cleanliness and safety.
• Create the annual hotel budget and track performance throughout the year.
• Prepare and explain monthly financial reports.
• Deliver strong financial performance while maintaining guest relations.
• Collaborate and learn with other ZMC Hotels General Managers.
