About The Position

The General Manager - BOSS Store, Columbus Circle is responsible for conveying a positive impression of HUGO BOSS to the marketplace by delivering an exceptional shopping experience, showcasing the brand through exciting merchandise presentations, and executing operational strategies resulting in positive operating profits. This role involves achieving sales and profitability targets, managing profit and loss, controlling inventory, and establishing a goal-oriented selling culture focused on relationship selling, client base building, and exceptional service. The General Manager will also be responsible for team management and development, customer service excellence, and operational excellence within the store.

Requirements

  • Professional sales development and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and client base.
  • Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to the needs of the business.
  • Comfortable in making decisions and mediating conflict within a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Windows-based software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Available to work store schedule, as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to safely lift boxes up to 40 pounds.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders.
  • 5+ years of management experience in a luxury goods or a comparable retail environment.
  • Experience operating a high volume and/or overlooking multiple store locations.

  • Actively recruit all level candidates.
  • Hire, train, and motivate a qualified sales team that effectively represents and communicates Hugo Boss to customers.
  • Provide specific development for the store leadership team and supervisor by assigning accountabilities and training with consistent follow-up and feedback.
  • Perform annual performance evaluations with quarterly review of employee goals.
  • Cultivate a relationship with the community via personal involvement, PR events, and advertising opportunities.
  • Oversee the development of clientele by leading by example in building and maintaining relationships with clients, producing strong results from proactive outreach, and developing personal business trade.
  • Develop business-driving initiatives that build repeat business or attract new customers.
  • Ensure each associate actively utilizes their client book to generate increased sales through monthly client book reviews and evaluation of their outreach.
  • Ensure all associates complete the sales training program.
  • Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching on the sales training process to ensure the highest level of customer service and sales.
  • Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures, including counting register funds, completing bank deposits, opening and closing registers, and securing the facility.
  • Conduct regular store meetings to ensure accurate and consistent communication with employees.
  • Maintain payroll budget and weekly hours to ensure appropriate sales floor coverage by reviewing the store schedule and adjusting as necessary.
  • Supervise operational responsibilities to ensure timely and accurate processing of all markdowns, transfers, damages, shipping, and receiving to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Oversee loss prevention policies and procedures to be 100% compliant.
  • Ensure knowledge of all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all documentation relating to Health & Safety is well-recorded and maintained.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are executed and policies are followed.
  • Ensure visual merchandising directives are implemented efficiently as per direction and visual standards are maintained at all times.
