Travel Center General Manager
About The Position
LV Petroleum, a premier leader in the fuel and convenience store industry, is on the lookout for a dynamic and proactive High Volume General Manager to oversee the operations of our travel center/truck stop. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in not only ensuring operational excellence but also in delivering exceptional customer service that keeps travelers returning to our outlets. The General Manager will be responsible for day-to-day leadership, employee development, safety compliance, and implementing best practices across all service areas. Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a management role within the fuel, convenience store, or hospitality industries.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of operational best practices in travel center management, inventory control, and vendor relations.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety protocols related to fuel stations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team and customer engagement.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Manage all daily operations of the travel center, including the fuel station, convenience store, and QSR, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of service excellence and teamwork.
- Prioritize customer satisfaction and handle complaints and issues promptly to ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors.
- Maintain optimal stock levels, coordinate with suppliers, and monitor inventory for quality and availability.
- Monitor and manage the site’s budget, sales, and profitability, implementing strategies to meet or exceed financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly concerning fuel handling and storage.
- Maintain accurate records and reports regarding sales, employee performance, and operational metrics for upper management.
