About The Position

Easy Mile Fitness is a multi-unit franchisee of Planet Fitness health clubs. We own and operate over 50 Planet Fitness clubs in various locations. Requirements

  • 2 years of Supervisor or Manager experience in a restaurant or retail environment in a high-volume atmosphere, or two years of Planet Fitness experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working a flexible rotating schedule.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel).
  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Current CPR Certification required or willingness to get certified upon hire.
  • Ability to talk and hear, sit, stand, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor's Degree or four years of supervisor or manager experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to other clubs as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee club operations to ensure an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience and financial success.
  • Lead a team of employees in a positive and motivating manner.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing staff including Assistant General Managers, Front Desk Associates, and Fitness Trainers.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring staff adheres to superior customer service guidelines.
  • Schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered.
  • Lead by example, providing training and coaching to direct reports, ensuring adherence to Planet Fitness's values and goals.
  • Administer and process bi-weekly employee timesheets.
  • Resolve employee issues or concerns and manage corrective action/termination activities.
  • Manage the cash drawer and deposit procedures.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, including daily cleaning responsibilities.
  • Maintain correct cleaning and daily round logs.
  • Manage the club's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) platform.
  • Ensure the safety of employees, members, and club property.
  • Determine and communicate equipment repair needs in a timely manner.
  • Be involved in all front desk related activities, including answering phones, checking members in, new member sign-ups, giving tours, and facilitating member requests, issues, and questions.
