About The Position

B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group is seeking an accomplished General Manager to oversee the daily operations at their Hampton Inn & Suites Washington Dulles hotel. This role is responsible for the overall management and operation of the hotel, driving revenue, maximizing profit, and ensuring quality. The General Manager will effectively manage assigned staff to achieve financial results, guest satisfaction, and positive team member relations. B. F. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • College degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive Hilton hotel management experience required.
  • Ability to manage multiple hotel and corporate priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve with all.

Responsibilities

  • Personally deliver exceptional guest service, maintaining high service and quality standards, and addressing guest feedback and trends.
  • Actively participate in sales efforts, analyze business, determine pricing and yield strategies, and maintain community presence.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Manager and Sales Team to implement sales strategies and ensure the hotel achieves maximum revenue potential.
  • Manage expenses according to budget, maximize hotel profitability, and ensure effective labor management.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of the hotel budget and ongoing forecasting efforts.
  • Assist with the ongoing training and development of hotel team members, ensuring new hires are effectively prepared and training programs are adjusted as needed.
  • Effectively interview, hire, coach, and develop hotel team members and the management team, conducting annual reviews and addressing performance issues.
  • Motivate hotel staff by setting goals, providing feedback, and recognizing team members.
  • Manage self/workload effectively, provide guidance to the hotel team, and promote a productive, professional, and collaborative work environment.
  • Lead daily team meetings and weekly/monthly departmental/hotel meetings.
  • Lead and participate in monthly Safety Committee Meetings, conduct routine inspections, and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Handle guest and team member accidents/incidents in a timely and effective manner, completing incident reports and following up appropriately.
