About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of Foothill Ranch, a 2025 Best of the Best coveted award-winner and proud member of the Murgado Automotive Group, is seeking an accomplished Automotive General Manager with proven success leading a luxury or premium automotive dealership. This is a high-volume, 250-plus vehicles-per-month opportunity at a Mercedes-Benz dealership located in one of the best markets in the U.S., with one of the strongest vehicle registration opportunities. Ideal candidates are results-driven operators who understand luxury brand standards, build, inspire, and develop high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional experience for discerning clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum Five (5) Years of previous General Manager Experience Required
  • Luxury Automotive General Manager Experience – Required experience as a General Manager or senior dealership executive (five years minimum) within large volume and/or luxury automotive brand(s).
  • Premium Clientele Expertise – Proven ability to lead high-performance teams delivering elevated, relationship-based experiences for luxury automotive clients.
  • Strong Business Acumen – Expertise in financial analysis, sales strategy (New Used, and/or Fixed), operational management, forecasting, expense optimization and performance improvement.
  • Customer-First Leadership – A strong commitment to delivering exceptional service, building long-term relationships, and protecting brand reputation.
  • Inspirational Leadership Style – Ability to set a clear vision, build trust, motivate teams, and consistently achieve ambitious goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Luxury Brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Luxury Dealership Operations – Oversee sales, service, fixed operations, customer experience, financial performance, and day-to-day dealership execution, while maintaining premium brand standards, and excellent relationships in the community and/or OEM.
  • Build and Develop High-Performing Teams – Recruit, coach, motivate, and retain leaders and team members who are committed to excellence, accountability, and luxury-level service.
  • Drive Sales, Profitability, and Growth – Develop and execute strategies that increase market share, revenue, profitability, customer retention, and overall dealership performance.
  • Elevate the Luxury Customer Experience – Ensure every interaction reflects the professionalism, attention to detail, and relationship-driven service expected from Mercedes-Benz.
  • Manage Performance and Operational Excellence – Monitor financial statements, budgets, departmental performance, inventory, customer satisfaction, and key performance metrics to support sustained success.
  • Community Engagement – Represent the dealership in the Foothill Ranch community, building strong local partnerships.
