This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, and cleaning the equipment and facility. Training is provided on the job. Essential skills include accurate mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, strong verbal and written communication for order processing, excellent motor coordination for precise movements, and the ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, fluctuating in-store temperatures, food odors, commercial dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking short distances, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 60 pounds, carrying items, pushing trays on dollies, infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders, stooping/bending at the waist, occasional crouching/squatting, and continuous reaching. Hand tasks require eye-hand coordination and continuous use of hands, including forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping dough, manipulating tools, and pinching for box assembly. Team members must be able to grasp various items. Tools and equipment may include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels. Additionally, the role includes delivering product by car to customer doors and distributing marketing materials. This requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses. Delivery personnel must navigate various terrains, including multi-story buildings and private homes, while carrying product. Physical demands for delivery include carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages, driving within a designated area, walking to and from the delivery vehicle, and potentially climbing multiple flights of stairs. Delivery work also involves exposure to varying weather conditions.
