About The Position

Located along the sugar-white sands of Florida’s Emerald Coast, the Beach Club at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is an exclusive private beach club offering members and guests an elevated coastal experience. With premier beachfront amenities, food and beverage service, and personalized hospitality, the Beach Club provides a relaxed yet refined environment designed to create memorable experiences for members and visitors alike. The General Manager of the Beach Club is responsible for the overall leadership, operation, and financial performance of the private club. This role oversees daily operations including food and beverage service, beach and pool amenities, membership experiences, and staff leadership. The General Manager ensures exceptional service standards, maintains the club’s exclusive atmosphere, and drives member satisfaction while aligning operations with the standards of Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. This position requires a dynamic hospitality leader who thrives in a high-volume, outdoor beachfront environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest and member experiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hospitality leadership experience, preferably in resort, private club, beach club, or high-volume food & beverage environments.
  • Proven experience managing teams in fast-paced service environments.
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, labor management, and revenue oversight.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and peak resort seasons.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods across beach and club areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds when necessary.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy resort environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the Beach Club including food & beverage service, beach services, pool operations, and guest amenities.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service standards and hospitality for members and guests.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of the club facilities, beachfront areas, and amenities.
  • Coordinate closely with resort departments including culinary, engineering, housekeeping, marketing, and security.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team including supervisors, service staff, beach attendants, and support personnel.
  • Foster a positive and service-driven culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and develop leadership within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and labor standards.
  • Serve as the primary leader responsible for delivering an exceptional private club experience.
  • Build strong relationships with club members and frequent guests.
  • Address and resolve member or guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Develop programs, events, and offerings that enhance the Beach Club experience.
  • Manage budgets, labor costs, and operational expenses to meet financial targets.
  • Monitor revenue performance including food & beverage sales, rentals, and special events.
  • Identify opportunities to increase profitability while maintaining premium service levels.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed, particularly in outdoor beach and pool environments.
  • Maintain compliance with health department standards, alcohol service regulations, and resort policies.
  • Partner with resort leadership to ensure emergency preparedness and guest safety.
