General Purpose The Recreation Attendant is responsible for providing courteous, knowledgeable, and professional service to guests while monitoring and assisting with activities in assigned recreation areas. This role rotates throughout multiple recreation departments and supports daily operations across various business units.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to apply common-sense reasoning to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and solve routine problems in standardized situations.
  • Valid driver’s license in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations within the past three years.

Nice To Haves

  • One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate and assist across multiple recreation areas, including Bicycle Rentals, Dunes Putting Course, Carousel, and Group Activities, ensuring consistent guest service and smooth daily operations.
  • Support daily operations of recreation outlets by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining inventory and facilities, and ensuring accurate cash handling.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members across all recreation areas to support daily operations, maintain consistent service standards, and create a positive, supportive team environment.
  • Welcome guests and answer incoming telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Notify guests of activity schedules, operating hours, and registration requirements.
  • Receive, store, and issue rental equipment and supplies.
  • Inspect all equipment to ensure it is safe and in proper working condition prior to guest use.
  • Act in a courteous, helpful, and efficient manner when interacting with owners and guests.
  • Perform daily cleaning and basic maintenance to keep facilities in pristine condition.
  • Communicate proactively with management regarding tasks, concerns, or areas needing assistance.
  • Provide hands-on support within each area by welcoming guests, explaining activities, managing equipment, supervising participation, and maintaining a safe, fun, and engaging environment.
