About The Position

Restaurant Associates, a leading provider of dining and event catering for prestigious institutions, is seeking an experienced and people-focused General Manager for a dynamic, multi-concept dining and events destination in University City. This role will oversee a diverse portfolio of dining outlets, a high-volume events program, and a rooftop venue. Reporting to the Regional Vice President, the General Manager will be instrumental in shaping the guest experience, building client relationships, and fostering a thriving team environment. This is a high-visibility opportunity to drive operational excellence and support innovative culinary programming.

Requirements

  • Experience leading operations in a multi-unit or complex foodservice environment
  • Strong understanding of high-volume service and catering or events operations
  • Financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and driving performance
  • A collaborative leadership approach with a focus on team development and engagement
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients and stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Culinary, or a related field is a plus (or equivalent experience)
  • Passion for hospitality, innovation, and continuous learning

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple restaurant concepts and event spaces
  • Lead financial performance, including P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Support, coach, and develop a diverse team across front and back of house
  • Guide hiring, onboarding, training, and employee relations in partnership with HR
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, and workforce planning to align with business needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, and cross-functional partners
  • Partner closely with the Executive Chef and leadership team to deliver high-quality food and service
  • Ensure consistent execution across high-volume service and large-scale events
  • Maintain operational standards, safety, and compliance across all areas
  • Collaborate with marketing and culinary teams to roll out new programs, activations, and guest experiences
