As the General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the bakery's performance, guest satisfaction, team development, financial results, and operational execution. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
- Demonstrated commitment to punctuality, including arriving on time, prepared, and ready to work
- Dependable attendance record with the ability to consistently support operational needs
- Strong work ethic and commitment to accountability, ownership, and team success
- Ability to proactively communicate scheduling conflicts, emergencies, or absences in accordance with company policies
- Ability to follow and enforce company policies, procedures, and brand standards
- TB clearance required (if applicable by location)
- 2+ years of restaurant, retail, food service, or hospitality management experience preferred
- Previous General Manager, Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager, Store Manager, or multi-department leadership experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience developing, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams
- Demonstrated ability to build a leadership pipeline and prepare team members for promotion opportunities
- Experience conducting performance reviews, coaching conversations, and corrective action when necessary
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive work environment
- Strong business acumen with experience managing sales, labor, inventory, and profitability goals
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and remain active throughout a shift
- Comfortable working in warm and cold environments, including around ovens, prep areas, and walk-in coolers
- Basic math skills and proficiency with point-of-sale and business management systems
- Strong communication, leadership, conflict-resolution, and guest service skills
- Food Handler Certification (current or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, scheduling software, and store technology systems
- Demonstrates honesty, integrity, accountability, reliability, and a commitment to developing others
- Successful background check required

Responsibilities
- Lead all daily bakery operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members and future leaders
- Build a positive culture focused on accountability, teamwork, communication, and respect
- Drive sales growth and achieve bakery performance goals
- Monitor labor, food costs, inventory, and overall profitability
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, food safety standards, and operational procedures
- Maintain high standards of product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest service
- Manage scheduling to support business needs while maximizing team productivity
- Conduct regular performance conversations, coaching sessions, and development planning
- Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback to support growth and development
- Identify high-potential team members and prepare them for advancement opportunities
- Hold managers and team members accountable for performance, attendance, guest service, and operational standards
- Support succession planning by developing future Shift Managers, Assistant Managers, and General Managers
- Conduct performance coaching, employee development, and corrective action when necessary
- Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, inventory controls, and loss prevention practices
- Analyze business metrics and implement action plans to improve results
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and a strong work ethic
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
