About The Position

Chandler Industries is seeking a General Manager to lead its Lake Mills, Wisconsin operation. This leadership role is responsible for the overall performance of the operation, including Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Operations. The General Manager will drive profitable growth, operational excellence, quality, delivery, continuous improvement, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on manufacturing leader with a strategic mindset, a bias for action, and the ability to use data for decision-making. This role offers the opportunity to develop a high-performing team, champion continuous improvement, and shape the future of the operation.

Requirements

At least 7 years of progressive manufacturing and operations leadership experience.
Precision machining experience.
Contract manufacturing experience.
Strong financial acumen, including an understanding of P&L, cost, and cash.
Experience driving continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
MBA/MS.
Lean or Six Sigma certification.
Epicor ERP experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the site's manufacturing and operational strategy.
Drive profitability and growth.
Coach and develop leaders and strengthen employee engagement.
Improve productivity, equipment utilization, quality, delivery, and cost.
Lead Lean initiatives and eliminate waste.
Strengthen standardized processes and build a 'right first time' mindset.
Maintain a strong presence throughout the operation and work alongside the team to understand challenges and remove barriers.
Create a culture of responsiveness and urgency.
Partner with Business Development to strengthen customer relationships.
Manage capacity, support new product transitions, and improve equipment availability.
