About The Position

The Davis Auto Group has an exciting opportunity as we are hiring a General Manager to oversee our Davis Dodge stores in both Lethbridge and Fort Macleod, AB. This is a rare opportunity to shape the performance, culture, and customer experience across two high-potential stores located just 30 minutes apart. An individual with a strong automotive sales background is preferred. The successful candidate will be required to split their time between both the Lethbridge and Fort Macleod dealerships and will be offered a competitive compensation package, including a preferred shareholder opportunity.

Requirements

  • Leadership ability and teambuilding skills to effectively motivate, inspire and manage employees
  • A “roll up the sleeves” attitude and approach to business and leadership
  • Excellent knowledge of operations and business processes with the ability to read and analyze financial statements
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a continuous improvement pedigree
  • Results driven with exceptional planning, organization and execution skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to use tact, sensitivity, empathy and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees
  • A passion to be involved in and connected to the community through various activities and volunteer opportunities
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience within a dealership environment, specifically on the variable operations side.
  • Stellantis experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction to all departments within the dealerships to drive business results and profitability
  • Lead, manage and support department managers and employees to hold them accountable to achieving current business and productivity goals and improve profitability and efficiency
  • Model and champion our company values in day-to-day leadership to create a positive, motivating workplace which maximizes employee engagement and supports the well-being of employees
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty, generate referrals and enhance the reputation of the dealership in the community
  • Plan all aspects of dealership operations, including setting productivity and sales forecasts, managing expenses and developing monthly and annual goals for all departments within the dealership
