About The Position

BuyWander is hiring a General Manager to launch and lead its San Antonio (Schertz), Texas operation. This hands-on leadership role oversees day-to-day warehouse-store operations and involves building and leading a team, driving operational performance, and establishing the site’s culture. The General Manager owns store KPIs covering revenue, inventory throughput, fulfillment, customer experience, and staffing; develops and executes operating procedures; and works with technology, support, and executive teams to launch tools and scale operations. The role also represents BuyWander to customers and is responsible for fostering a fun, respectful, mission-driven shopping experience while holding the team to high standards and leading with integrity.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or retail operations leadership.
Ability and enthusiasm to build operations from scratch and thrive in startup chaos.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
Clear communication skills and confident decision-making.
Comfort using software, technology, and computers, including Shopify-like software, barcoding tools, Google, and internal dashboards.
A mission-driven outlook and belief in building something bigger than oneself.

Nice To Haves

Experience in resale, auctions, liquidation, or high-volume retail.

Responsibilities

Launch and lead day-to-day operations for the San Antonio (Schertz) warehouse store.
Build, coach, and inspire a team of 15–25 or more across warehouse, front desk, and retail functions.
Own store KPIs for revenue, inventory throughput, fulfillment, customer experience, and staffing.
Create and execute SOPs for receiving, processing, picking, customer pickup, bin replenishment, and daily close.
Work cross-functionally with technology, support, and executive teams to launch new tools and scale operations.
Represent BuyWander to customers and create a fun, respectful, mission-driven shopping experience.
Hold the team accountable to high standards and lead with integrity.
