About The Position
The General Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also involves delivering products by car to customers’ doors and distributing flyers and door hangers. The position requires accurate and quick arithmetic, handling monetary change, verbal, written, and telephone communication, computer or touchscreen order entry, precise motor coordination, and the ability to understand and provide written instructions. The General Manager must communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area, and navigate varied terrain such as multi-story buildings and private homes while carrying products. The stated starting rate is $52,000–$70,000, plus applicable bonus.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate varied terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
