About The Position

Better Collision Centers is entering the Myrtle Beach market and is seeking a leader to establish and shape the new shop. This is an entrepreneurial role where the General Manager will build the operation from the ground up, with a foundation and a small team already in place. The company is experiencing rapid growth, doubling revenue for the past four years, and emphasizes a culture centered around Excellence, Continuous Growth and Innovation, Operational Agility, Relentless Quality and Safety, and Empowered Team Ownership. The General Manager will be responsible for running the Myrtle Beach shop, leading and growing the team, managing production schedules, building customer trust, and representing the company in a new market, with access to regional support while maintaining autonomy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to be present on the shop floor and work safely in a production environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of conditions.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat as needed.
  • Owner's mindset.
  • Real collision experience.
  • Ability to schedule cars through a shop and coach the team.
  • Understanding of cycle time, throughput, and load balancing.
  • Leadership skills to manage a team, hold standards, and develop people.
  • Autonomy with strong communication skills.
  • Business acumen, understanding of gross profit, parts margins, labor efficiency, and cycle time.
  • Composure to handle pressure, conflict, and tough conversations.
