About The Position

Bruegger's Bagels is seeking a General Manager to oversee all aspects of store operations with a "treat it like you own it" philosophy. Our stores operate on a one-shift model, closing at 2pm daily, allowing for a strong work-life balance. The General Manager will be responsible for opening the store, ensuring audit readiness, executing orders, providing exceptional customer experiences, and supporting the team. This role involves hands-on operation during peak hours and dedicated administrative time before opening and after closing. A comprehensive 5-week training program is provided.

Requirements

1-3 years of prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a restaurant setting.
Hands-on operator.
Ability to motivate and inspire the team.
Tried and true strategies for achieving food cost goals and labor targets.
Must be at least 18 years old to apply.

Prior exposure to P&L analysis is valuable.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of store operations with a "treat it like you own it" philosophy.
Open the store, starting as early as 4am for the first bake.
Ensure the store is audit ready.
Execute catering, mobile, and in-store orders.
Provide an exceptional customer experience.
Support and motivate the team.
Float in all positions during breakfast and lunch rushes as needed.
Manage breaks for the team.
Generate good customer survey results.
Close the store and prep for the next day (typically 30-45 minutes after closing).
Manage daily deposits.
Order and inventory management.
Recruit quality team members.
Develop internal talent.
