About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for ensuring sitewide operations at US1 are performing at agreed upon service levels and driving continual improvement in safety, logistics, operations and internal support processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Seven to ten years of experience of management in a manufacturing environment
  • Leading teams, hazard identification, spoken and written communications and presentation skills
  • SAP Transactional Experience, 1-3 years

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the customer’s senior management team.
  • Ensure that MAU is in compliance with site-specific policies and regulations.
  • Ensure that consistent communications are maintained between MAU and customer staff.
  • Ensure that department-specific metrics are meeting targets.
  • Support and maintain an engaged safety culture.
  • Foster and support a safety culture focused on achieving "Zero Incidents."
  • CIP of safety process and training documents.
  • Live safety by identifying hazards, correcting unsafe conditions, and promoting safety within your division and team.
  • Oversee required safety training.
  • Maintain site safety metrics.
  • Drive improvements and modifications to training materials, standard work, and other documents to standardize processes and enhance employee safety.
  • Be on call 24/7 for any emergency, including both personnel injuries and property damage.
  • Conduct Safety Gemba walks with the team/employees.
  • Coordinate training and development plans for the leadership team.
  • In association with the MAU Recruiting Team, screen, interview, and provide hiring recommendations for leadership, training, and administrative support positions.
  • Provide coaching and, if necessary, administer disciplinary actions to the leadership team.
  • Maintain consistent administration of MAU policies to mitigate legal exposure.
  • Compile, authorize, and submit payroll for the full-time regular team.
  • Ensure all full-time regular employees' performance reviews are done on a quarterly basis.
  • Handle conflict resolution and intervention.
  • Interface between customer leadership and MAU leadership.
  • Provide resources for both short- and long-term special projects.
  • Evaluate project performance for process improvement recommendations.
  • Attend specific departmental meetings as required.
  • Track and report PO billing.
