About The Position

The dual brand Residence Inn/Fairfield Inn Annapolis is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Hotel General Manager who is ready to make an impact. This isn't a behind-the-desk leadership role—it's an opportunity to be at the heart of the hotel, coaching teams, connecting with guests, solving challenges, and celebrating successes. You'll inspire your team by leading with energy, accountability, and a genuine passion for hospitality. As the Hotel General Manager, you'll shape the guest experience, drive financial performance, build an engaged and motivated team, and ensure every aspect of the hotel operates at the highest level.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful hotel General Manager experience, preferably with Marriott extended stay and select serve brands.
  • Strong operational knowledge across all hotel departments, including Food & Beverage.
  • A proven ability to inspire, coach, and develop exceptional teams.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and driving profitability.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for hospitality that's contagious—and a commitment to creating memorable experiences for guests and associates alike.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and Sales.
  • Create an exceptional guest experience that inspires loyalty and consistently exceeds expectations.
  • Build, coach, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team that delivers outstanding service every day.
  • Recruit top talent while fostering a culture of engagement, recognition, accountability, and fun.
  • Drive revenue, profitability, and operational excellence through strategic planning, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to maximize market share and financial results.
  • Develop strong relationships within the local community while staying ahead of market trends and competitive opportunities.
  • Walk the hotel daily to ensure every detail reflects the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and service.
  • Champion innovation and continuously identify opportunities to improve the guest and associate experience.
  • Lead by example—jumping in wherever needed and showing your team that no task is beneath a great leader.
