About The Position

Naniq Global Logistics is seeking a full-time General Manager to join their diverse team. The General Manager oversees the unloading and loading of planes, the package sortation process, and a trucking operation that delivers pallets to the US Post Office. This position reports to the Regional General Manager and supervises the entire Amazon Gateway operation, including Ground Support Handling of 767 cargo aircraft, piece-level sortation of packages, and linehaul delivery of sorted packages to the Direct Delivery Unit (DDU) Post Offices on the island of Kauai. The operation typically runs from late evening to early morning and is a 5-day per week job, though the operation runs 7 days a week. Occasional weekend work may be required. This position also has the capability to step into other management roles if needed.

Requirements

Customer service oriented, friendly, helpful, and professional disposition with strong influence leadership skills to work in a fast paced and always changing environment and manage people optimally.
Experience with commercial driving and sortation process is desired.
Excellent organization, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills required.
Handle sensitive and confidential information.
Self-motivated, able to multi-task and work effectively under a minimum level of supervision in a fast-paced environment, strong problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate a consistent capability of working cooperatively with others in a team environment.
Must pass drug screening and background checks, which include employer, customer, and/or SIDA background checks.
Must have the legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Oversees the overall operation of plane loading and unloading, package sortation, and trucking operations and ensures compliance with all client metrics, standards and reporting requirements.
Works with our unionized subcontractor to ensure the sortation operation is sufficiently staffed.
Supervises all operations to ensure compliance with TSA and DOT requirements.
Ensures compliance with local, state, federal regulations as well company policies and procedures, customer information and security requirements.
Ensures customer required reports are prepared and issued on time.
Reports on safety, security, and theft incidents.
Demonstrates internal and external customer service.
Print manifest.
Review the flight tracker.
Send stats to leadership.
Ensure correct timesheet is provided for crew.
Ensure leadership sends out scheduled breaks via leadership group chat.
Go over expectations with leadership and administrators.
Review positions board.
Ensure all equipment is in working condition.
Ensure administrators start and complete their tasks throughout the shift.
Review Amazon trips via Relay app.
Send out FedEx communication and manifests.
Review Contrails reports.
Review Chime chatrooms.
Ensure supplies are available for crew throughout warehouse.
Review all ramp crew emails.
Review inbound/outbound on logistics page.
Correct any ADP timesheet errors.
Review any applicants if hiring.
Get a plan together for end of shift, communicate with floor leaders.
Watch VISTA for any controllable errors.
Have a speech/statement prepared for the debriefing.
