About The Position

The following general description applies to all hourly store team members. Please read the detailed information listed below. This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking phone orders, inventory management, and cleaning. Training is provided on the job. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and coworkers, both verbally and in writing. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations, making change, and using a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry. The work environment can involve varying weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and differentiating hot/cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include standing for most tasks, walking in short distances, and sitting for paperwork. Lifting involves handling deliveries weighing up to 50 pounds and stacking them up to 72 inches high. Carrying includes items like pizza sauce (30 pounds) and trays of pizza dough (12 pounds per tray). Pushing is required for moving trays on dollies. Climbing stairs or ladders may be necessary. Stooping/bending is required at the pizza assembly station and when stocking ingredients. Crouching/squatting is performed occasionally for stocking and cleaning. Reaching is continuous, up, down, and forward. Hand tasks require eye-hand coordination and continuous use of hands, including forceful use of forearms and wrists for dough shaping, and pinching for box assembly. Tools and equipment may include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel. For team members in driver or store management positions, additional duties include delivering product by car, flyers, and door hangers, requiring a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle. Essential skills include navigational abilities to read maps and locate addresses, and the ability to navigate various delivery sites while carrying product. Physical demands for delivery include carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages while walking and climbing. Driving is required within a designated delivery area, potentially making multiple deliveries per shift. Walking involves travel between the store, vehicle, and customer location. Climbing may involve navigating five or more flights of stairs. Work conditions include exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries and driving, and require far and night vision for driving.

Requirements

Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Requires valid drivers license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
