About The Position

Action Garage Door is seeking an experienced, high-impact General Manager to lead its Idaho operations. This role involves building a high-performing organization, developing future leaders, and driving profitable growth while delivering an outstanding customer experience. The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the business, including operations, sales, customer experience, financial results, and team development. This leader owns the day-to-day execution of the business while partnering with Guild Garage Group leadership to execute long-term growth initiatives. This position carries full responsibility for operational execution, employee engagement, profitability, and delivering industry-leading customer service.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in residential or commercial home services.
  • 3+ years leading multi-department operations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and improve business performance.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, KPIs, and operational metrics.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Experience using business management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the garage door, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, or similar home service industries.
  • ServiceTitan experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field (or equivalent leadership experience).
  • Experience leading organizations through growth and operational transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all daily business operations, including service, installation, warehouse, scheduling, customer service, and sales.
  • Create a culture of accountability through consistent leadership, coaching, and performance management.
  • Ensure operational excellence by implementing and maintaining standardized processes and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all departments.
  • Own branch P&L performance and achieve revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Manage labor productivity, inventory, expenses, fleet utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Build and execute annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop exceptional leaders and employees.
  • Build a culture centered on safety, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and succession planning.
  • Foster employee engagement and retain top talent through effective leadership.
  • Ensure every customer receives an exceptional experience.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain quality standards that reinforce Action Garage Door's reputation for excellence.
  • Partner with sales leadership to drive residential and commercial growth.
  • Improve close rates, average ticket values, and overall profitability.
  • Support marketing initiatives and community involvement to strengthen brand awareness.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, company policies, and all applicable regulations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all departments.
  • Ensure fleet, facilities, and equipment are properly maintained.
