Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, 3 PL or Transportation; Master’s degree, preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience and expertise in operations and business management.
- Industry experience, preferred.
- Experienced in providing leadership for multiple sites that are geographically dispersed, effectively delegating responsibility and authority to direct reports.
- Experience managing multi-site locations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
- Experience driving revenue growth, retaining customers, and managing profitability of multiple sites.
- In depth, experience based knowledge of managing revenue, budgets, EBITDA, operations problem solving, customer service and managing people.
- Experienced in project management methodologies with focus on managing solution driven strategy plans to achieve goals.

Responsibilities
- Oversee ongoing customer service. Utilize daily communications with the customer to discuss service needs and potential problems.
- Ensure attainment of profit objectives of contracts, provide financial analysis and decision making for customer.
- Manage organic growth and development of additional business opportunities with existing customer.
- Ensure safety, maintain quality, establish and monitor cost control programs.
- Oversee operations management within the company guidelines.
- Manage operations schedule and staff in anticipation of customer needs.
- Daily administration of contract, including preparation of customer related performance reports and other correspondence; requests from vendors, general office and contract employees; and all other items that fall within managerial scope of responsibility.
- Train managers and other personnel strategically in all areas that will help achieve the contract goals and objectives and satisfy the customer.
- Maintain corporate productivity and quality award programs to recognize outstanding performance.
- Establish ongoing programs to ensure continuous improvement, including the use of Kaizen, LEAN, and the EQS program to maintain quality performance.
- Manage cost control programs, including annual budget development, monthly P&L review, and payroll and cost analysis.
- Utilize Performance Management projects to guide managerial staff to monitor and control costs on a weekly basis.
- Negotiate and enforce collective bargaining agreement where applicable.
