About The Position
This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking phone orders, inventory management, and cleaning. Training is provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers, both verbally and in writing. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations for change and order processing, good motor coordination for precise hand movements, and computer/touch screen proficiency for order entry. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, food odors, commercial dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments suited for this role include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and collaboratively, handle stress, maintain quality control, interact with people, analyze data, and make decisions. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 60 pounds, carrying items like pizza sauce (30 pounds) and dough trays (12 pounds each), pushing/pulling trays on dollies, infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders, stooping/bending at the waist, occasional crouching/squatting, and continuous reaching. Hand tasks require eye-hand coordination, with frequent and/or forceful use of hands, forearms, and wrists for tasks like shaping dough, using a pizza peel, and assembling boxes. Tools and equipment used include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels. Additionally, the role includes product delivery by car, requiring a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, navigational skills, and the ability to carry product while walking and climbing stairs (potentially five or more flights). Driving involves far and night vision requirements and exposure to varying weather conditions.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
- Must be able to make correct monetary change
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
- Motor coordination between wywe and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make presice movements with speed
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Valid Driver License with safe driving recor meeting company standards
- Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
- Must navigate adverse terrain including multy-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
Responsibilities
