About The Position
The General Manager operates equipment; stocks ingredients from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role also includes delivering products by car to customers’ doors, distributing flyers and door hangers, and navigating the designated delivery area, including adverse terrain and multi-story buildings. The position requires accurate and quick basic arithmetic, handling monetary change, order-taking and communication skills, coordinated and precise motor movements, computer keyboard or touch-screen order entry, and the ability to understand and provide written instructions. The General Manager communicates with customers and co-workers in person and by phone to process orders.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
