Position Overview: As the General Manager of Homewood Suites Prattville, you will provide strategic leadership for all hotel operations while delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial performance, and cultivating a positive and engaging workplace culture. Requirements

  • Current or previous Hotel General Manager experience preferred.
  • Hotel pre-opening experience.
  • Alternatively, 3+ years of progressive hotel leadership experience in operations, rooms, sales, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with major hospitality brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, or similar.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive results, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and profit and loss statements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively resolve guest and associate concerns while maintaining professionalism.
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing technology and hotel operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully oversee the pre-opening and opening of Homewood Suites Prattville, ensuring a smooth launch and exceptional guest experience from day one.
  • Provide strategic leadership across all hotel departments to maximize operational performance, guest satisfaction, and team engagement.
  • Foster a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Partner with regional operations and accounting teams to analyze monthly financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage hotel budgets, forecasting, labor costs, payroll, and expense controls.
  • Optimize revenue across all available channels to achieve and exceed financial goals.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent through innovative and effective staffing strategies.
  • Create an engaging workplace culture that inspires associates to perform at their best.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Lead by example and foster an environment built on respect, teamwork, and recognition.
  • Serve as a visible leader within the hotel and the Prattville community.
  • Develop relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community partners.
  • Participate in community events, volunteer activities, and networking opportunities that enhance the hotel's presence and reputation.
  • Champion the Homewood Suites and Peachtree Group brand while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Participate in weekly revenue strategy meetings with the regional revenue management team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting for company, brand, and ownership requirements.
  • Oversee hotel accounting functions, including payroll administration and financial controls.
  • Utilize hotel management systems and reporting platforms to drive operational excellence.
