This role involves operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking and processing telephone orders, conducting inventory, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the facility. Training is provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and give written instructions, and to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, and using a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry. The work environment can involve varying weather conditions, temperature fluctuations, food odors, dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking, hearing, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and differentiating hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments needed include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces, with work surfaces generally between 36" and 48". Lifting of bulk product deliveries weighing up to 60 pounds is required, with cases stacked up to 72" high. Carrying large cans and pizza sauce, and trays of pizza dough is also part of the job. Pushing trays on dollies and pulling trays is necessary. Climbing stairs or ladders may be required infrequently. Stooping, bending, crouching, and squatting are performed for stocking and cleaning. Reaching continuously up, down, and forward is required for various tasks, including operating oven controls and stocking shelves. Eye-hand coordination is essential, with continuous use of hands for tasks like shaping pizza dough, using a pizza peel and rolling cutter, and pinching to assemble boxes. Grasping various items is also required. Tools and equipment used include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel. Additionally, the role includes delivering product by car to customers, and distributing marketing materials. This requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle. Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses are essential, as is the ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings and private homes while carrying product. Physical demands for delivery include carrying product while walking and climbing, driving within a designated area, and walking to and from the delivery vehicle. Climbing five or more flights of stairs may be required. Work conditions include exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries.
